GFS- An Anglican Ministry is an organisation that operates within 17 of the Anglican Diocese in Australia.  It trains Christian Leaders to work with children and families, offering creative and challenging activities for the spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development of it's members.   GFS is also part of a world wide organisation known as the Girls Friendly Society which was founded in1875.

In Gippsland GFS works in cooperation with CEBS-The Anglican Boys' Society to encourage, support and resource parish based programs for girls, boys and their families.

Our combined councils organise diocesan events, networking with our state and national executives ton provide for our registered members.   In Gippsland we also offer ourselves as an umbrella, organising group activities for the wider diocesan community, including affiliated children's and youth ministries and all other parishes.  We also operate under the banner of KIDSPLUS+ ( a name trademarked by CEBS & GFS Melbourne) as an alternative model for ministry.
