LEADERSHIP

The key to the success of any ministry group is the quantity and quality of the Leadership provided.  Quantity refers to having sufficient Leaders for the group.  Quality refers to the Leaders being properly equipped for the task that they are undertaking.  This is one of the major reasons for the existence of the "Network".  Leaders are able to provide mutual support and the exchange of ideas and resources and the network also provides regular opportunities to update leadership qualities through "Leadership Development Courses".

As well as keeping our skills up to date we need also to be conscious of our responsibility to the young people we lead and their parents.  For this reason our adherence to the "Professional Standards" and the need to keep ourselves updated with the codes of responsibility for leaders is of the upmost importance.  The Network works with the Diocesan Leadership to ensure that these opportunities are available to all.
