My name is David Elliott. Thank you for visiting my web site. This web site is primarily about WA sports but it does cover many other national sets.

I have been collecting Australian Trade and Cigarette cards for about 8 years and have recently been concentrating on those issued in Western Australia
or those sets showing Western Australian sportsmen and women.

Becastateuse of the difficulty of deciding if a sports person was actually resident in the at the time of the card issue,
I have restricted my listing to only those sets that specifically mention that person's WA sporting club or show club colours.
This restriction tends to eliminate many sets such as cricket where the sports person is noted in the national sense, rather than that of the state.

It is certainly true that the manufacturers we tend to associate with some sets of cards were in fact only sponsors and that the cards were actually issued
by the sporting clubs themselves. However the use of the sponsor's name, i.e. Healthways, usually makes it easier to identify the set.
