Telephone calls
Dr Itzkowic can be contacted by telephone during the day
on 9389-4811. In an emergency at night, please ring home on 9363-3703.
Referrals
Under Medicare it is necessary to have a referral from a
doctor, usually your family doctor, to receive the full rebate for
specialist care. The referral should be dated the day of the appointment
or before. The secretary will know whether a previous referral is
still valid.
Letters
Dr Itzkowic normally writes, with your permission, a report to the
referring doctor. It is important that your doctor is kept informed
of the findings and any treatment or surgery that is planned.
Test Results
Pap smear results are always sent in writing. A copy will be sent,
with your permission, to your referring doctor. This usually takes
about 10 days. If there is a problem with the pap smear, Dr Itzkowic
will ring you to discuss this.
Results of other tests, such as blood tests, are usually given
to you at the next consultation or by telephone.
Reminders
Dr Itzkowic can, if you wish, send a reminder letter when your next
pap smear is due.
Fees
Please pay at the time of consultation by cash, cheque, eftpos or
credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Bankcard) The fee will depend
on the nature of the procedures, if any, performed during the consultation,
such as Truscreen screening of the cervix, ultrasound, colposcopy
or hysteroscopy. Fees for surgery will always be discussed in advance.
