Zachary's 2 month Update
Well Zac was 2 months old on the 28th May and is growing quickly. He is now > 6 kilograms and has grown out of 000 and well into 00 clothes - in fact the wondersuits 00 are almost too small.
He smiles a lot these days and can recognise Dave and Kay's voice as well as face which is nice. That scratch on his face is from Zac flying his fists around all the time - he's quite the whirlybird :) We often put gloves on him to stop him scratching his face as much.
He is also sleeping through the night beginning his last feed around 7pm (can go for an hour or more!) and wakes up around 7am. He is following the "Babywise" book really well. During the day he does a pretty good sleep-feed-wak routine around 3 hour cycles but is content to feed early or late depending on our schedule (any more than an hour late and he lets us know he isn't impressed though!).
Zac is still receiving nice gifts, usually clothes - Kay also buys a lot on ebay, usually Pumpkin Patch (a trendy expensive boutique baby label) as the quality is good and it's easy to re-sell. Here's Zac in denim:
He gets some tummy time and some stimulating playtime everyday but seems to prefer hanging out with mum and dad at night and being involved whenever friends are over (all the time). Kay's mum and aunt came out from Japan recently and Zac warmed to them immediately:
He is very awake during the 5pm to 7:30pm and bedtime stage and usually doesn't sleep. He has lost his initial pimples and grown even more hair as well as really chubbied up. Here he is with his first 5 gatsu ningyo.
We took Zac out sailing again, this time with Midori and Shee-chan, and had a ball. Zac had excellent eye protection:
Zac didn't like squinting into the sun at all, but liked it behind him:
Here's Zac with Uncle Bob (on the left below) who will be his future soccer coach:
Kay still brings him in to wake Dad up every so often (Saturday lie-ins usually) but it's nice:
We still bring Zac everywhere with us - one of Dave's clients was having a cocktail party on the waterfront to launch their new brand identity, so Kay bought Zac a tux and of course Zac was a star act:
