The current FileScroller is based on work by 'Merlin', some years ago.
FileScroller is a complete file area lister, file marking and general file information tool. This version has been fully rewritten to take advantage of the Y2k fixes presented with TransAmiga v1.26 only. FileScroller is easily installed with some user customisable settings. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
GareaCheck consists of two executables. The first, GarChk will check all configured TransAmiga file areas for missing .Desc files, files missing from the Files.BBS list and optionally, missing filenotes.
The second executable, Gar1Chk works on just one file area and is perfect for use from inside DirectoryOpus to update a single area listing. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
GBBSList will create complete or partial (aged) filelists for download by users. GBBSList is extremely configurable in regard to area access levels and flags, file ages, single or multi line file descripions and optional header files. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
Gcomment is designed as a macro command for DirOpus. Its purpose is to fill in the 'filenote' or comment for the Transamiga files you mark. It will try to find the corresponding 'Files.BBS', and will then scan that file to locate it in the Files.BBS list. The short description is then copied into the marked file's 'filenote'. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
GRenMsgs is a utility to renumber TransAmiga (*.MSG) message areas while keeping message threads intact. It will adjust forward and backward thread pointers for new message numbers plus rewrite the Message.BBS file so as to show the new low and high message numbers.
It also replaces all user pointers in Lastread.BBS, in that area, with new pointers for the new message numbers. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
JUpload is a small binary that will (re)write a Files.BBS in any given area or even every file area listed in your File.cfg It wil happily run from a DOpus or DW button and it's very quick. JUpload is a little unreliable on areas that contain large amounts of files.
Will list BBS users who have not called for a certain number of months.
If caller has not called within last n months, write call details into BBS:System/OldCallers, showing Name, Date last called, Alias, Number of calls. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
PokerSquares is a DOS door that comes with a TA ARexx loader. The game involves making upto ten poker hands in a 5 x 5 matrix with the object being to build the highest score possible.
SysopSend provides an item for your TransAmiga custom menu, which lets you "Send file to caller".
On selecting this, a file requester appears on the sysop's screen. You pick a file, which can then be sent directly to the caller. Written by John Marchant. (Gnome)
Wanderer is an ANSI DOS door with a supplied Wanderer.trans loader script. The game itself is very much in the style of Diamond Caves, Emerald Caves or Boulderdash. Completed levels get the user a password, so they can play again later from the same point.
