"I have always enjoyed writing. I grew up in country South Australia in an environment so rich in storytelling that I feel that the genre of the short story is part of my inheritance. The inter dependence of characters, the degree of their involvement with the plot and the final resolution have always intrigued me, and while I am the one who writes the words, the twists and turns which occur sometimes surprise me. My other interests include painting portraits, gardening, and, importantly, my family."
