For the comp, each page is titled and numbered. Does that also have to be in 12 font and 2.5 cms from edge? And is left-justified actually preferred to justified?
Thanks

Titles and page numbers are pretty much up to you. It's just the body text that needs to be formatted. The reason we ask for that formatting is because we have to read hundreds of pages, and that format is easiest on the eyes. Left justified is preferred because it gives the eye-mind better visual clues as to where you are on the page and makes reading easier. You will find also that most publishers prefer manuscripts to be in this format, so it makes for good practice!
The format in which we publish the winning entries is a good example (minus the winner legend in the footer, and the authors name at the start).
Hope that helps,
TheBoss. |
