The MCP is geared to provide the men in the church an opportunity to do things together. One of the most popular events is our annual trip away for a walking weekend. Other activities have included 'Curry Nights', Quiz evenings. Sometimes we even have more serious seminas where we'll focus on a particular topic or we'll entertain a speaker who'll present on a subject.
On Thursday 15th July we meet for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. This is a fun evening and is NOT a "serious" tournament. Last year's winner (Martin Snowling) should be there to defend his "hard won" title and try to retain the magnificent trophy which he was awarded.
Walking Weekend
Every year we take all the men of the congregation away for a weekend of walking. Typically this takes place in Derbyshire or the Lake District or some other great walking venue in the UK. It's a great opportunity to be outdoors, away from the responsibilities of life, and to share discussions on important issues such as whether Predestination is a sound Biblical Doctrine or whether Ryan Giggs' goal for Manchester United (bless 'em) against Arsenal was the best solo effort goal of all time.
